1) reach behind the diffuser and twist the T15 locking cap (on the bulb end where the wires are)

2) remove the globe

3) push the little wire legs out on each side so the LED base seats firmly (else they can flicker, this is due to the bases being slightly smaller than the halogen) ** PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE UPGRADED THE LEDS TO 17xLED VERSIONS! BRIGHTER THAN THESE!

4) replace it with the new LED bulb

5) ensure the bulb is around the right way, put the reverse lights on.

6) Put both reverse lights back in

6) admire your work!

Things to note

* DON'T try this when the cars still warm, I burned my knuckles :S

* Ensure the reverse lights have been off for a while else you will burn your finger tips.

I think the ones that you and I have in our reverse lights are the biggest we can get in there... Don't they almost touch the plastic at the length/size they are now?

I had the same problem. I just couldn't get in there.
Solution = Lie down under the car.
That way you'll have a much better angle to take them off. Then again the LED bulbs i bought didn't fit but that's not the point =D

Just got my new LED lights, installation took around 10 mins a little tricky but not hard at all. They look amazing

Which ones did you get?

Did anyone have problems taking the stock bulb out? I can't get it out it's really tight :/
Use both hands to flip the plastic screw-on bulb holder. Or whatever it is called, the thing that holds the bulb. Mine was quite hard to remove either.

Wholly crap. That space was tight. I could hardly get my hands in there. Got the old out and the new in eventually but it was a bit harder than I thought. Took me about 30 minutes all up and the assembly was a bitch to get back in cause it was so tight.

Hey guys, stupid question but,

I'm going to install these and I was wondering how we can "admire our work" (i.e. see the new reverse lights after they've been installed) without having someone else have to keep the clutch pushed down whilst it's in reverse gear? Is it possible?

I live by myself so it just occured to me that it's gonna be hard to check out the new LED reverse lights haha....
