SEX! Awesome stuff mate. No cats in the front pipe or the headers? I might be wrong but the front pipe looks like it has two resonators?

Yeah, no cats on my whole setup.  It's quite a free flow exhaust now :P

No cats at all? That's risky... Big fine's if you get pulled over and tested, and removing all cats will give you ~ 2hp, if that. Big risk for not much reward...

Also, cat converters are there for a reason. The gases that come out of a cars exhaust are very dangerous and carcinogenic... Why would you not leave one in?

Exactly, if you dont care for the environment and think its okay to remove all the cats, keep in mind that cats are also there to trap the toxic gases that come out of an exhaust so having you car running indoors means you will be inhaling toxic gases (Carbon Monoxide).

Its your car but i really dont see why you would risk a huge fine, health risks and be detrimental to the environment for 2 HP

My 2 Cents

That's an actual racecar. Not a street car driven by someone who wishes they could have a racecar.

Racecar=racetrack (where the gases can quickly disperse into the atmosphere, not posing as much of an environmental or health threat)

Streetcar=street (buildings, lots of people, lots of cars, exhaust gases remain in the atmosphere for much longer)

Just in case you couldn't tell the difference mate stevo ;)

I do believe yours is the latter :P

nah mate, you are missing the point,

race car, not driven on the road part of .0000001% of vehicles used so no one cares about them and the relative small amount of gas they produce. thus they are not regulated.

street car, regulated as there is millions of them on the roads, and combined the millions of them produce loads of emissions.

as for the cancer, its not the CO2/CO you need to worry about, its all the other nasties that are in there in very small amounts, the co2/co will kill you of asphyxiation, its all the stuff in smaller quantities that will lead to cancer.

LOL, love all the comments, esp from you Bren.  Do you even have an 86?  And since when has this become a tree-huggers forum?

Nah I don't have an 86. That has nothing to do with you not having a cat converter though ;)

It's ok, we can see from your other posts what you're like, and that you don't know very much, so as you were.

You're right mate, and as for this being a tree hugger forum, it a forum of people who can enjoy and love their cars without posing an unnecessary threat to the environment or to people.
